In short: Our pain and recovery care at Ryon Acu Clinic is supportive, complementary care for neck pain, back pain and sciatica, sports injuries, and everyday muscle and joint discomfort. Rather than masking the site of pain, our approach looks at the tension and imbalance patterns behind it, using Acupuncture, Rife Therapy and Tailor-made Herbal medicine to support your body's own recovery.
This care does not diagnose or replace medical, physical therapy, or orthopedic treatment — it works alongside it. For acute traumatic injuries, please seek immediate medical attention.
Often focuses on the site of pain itself — medication, rest, or targeted intervention aimed at quieting the symptom. Effective for many acute situations, but can leave the underlying tension pattern unaddressed, especially when pain is recurring or long-standing.
We look at the circulation, tension, and imbalance patterns behind the pain — not just where it's felt. As the body's own balance and circulation are supported, it becomes better able to recover and regulate itself over time.
Stiff neck, tension headaches, and posture-related discomfort
Supportive care for neck pain and tension, including stiffness related to posture, screen time, stress, and long-standing tension patterns. Care focuses on supporting circulation and easing tension around the neck and shoulders, often combining Acupuncture and Rife Therapy.
Each individual's pattern is different, and treatment is tailored to your daily habits and overall comfort.
Low back pain, sciatica, and long-standing back discomfort
Support for individuals experiencing low back pain, sciatica, and discomfort that has built up over time. Our approach looks at the whole-body pattern contributing to back pain — not just the local area — to support lasting comfort and mobility.
We provide supportive care and do not diagnose spinal or neurological conditions.
Strains, sprains, overuse, and post-activity soreness
Support for active individuals recovering from sports injuries, strains, sprains, and overuse-related soreness. Care is focused on supporting circulation, reducing tension around the affected area, and helping the body's own recovery process, so you can return to activity with more confidence.
Headaches, joint discomfort, and other pain patterns
Beyond neck, back, and sports-related pain, we support a wide range of everyday muscle and joint discomfort — including headaches, shoulder and hip pain, and pain that has become chronic or hard to pin down. Our approach focuses on supporting comfort, mobility, and overall recovery, without making diagnostic or medical treatment claims.
This care covers a wide range of everyday and long-standing pain. Here are other areas we commonly support:

Especially important for pain and recovery
I had not had an acupuncture treatment prior to coming to Ryon Acu Clinic, so the skepticism was with me. After having the treatment for a persistent knee pain the pain is gone and I'm able to run again. I wish I had come to Ryon Acu Clinic sooner. I am now receiving treatment for back pain and feeling almost pain free. I highly recommend Ryon Acu Clinic.
I have suffered from pain in my left hip for the past 6 years. I went to see my doctor on multiple occasions and my complaints were dismissed as arthritis. Being that I played basketball at a very high level for 20+ years I expected to have arthritis but I knew my hip pain was much more than arthritis. The pain was debilitating!! I would wake up in the middle of the night in excruciating pain. The pain impacted my walking and running was out of the question. It was a task to enter and exit the car, put on pants, and even tie my shoes. Based on the pain I experienced due to me I began compensating. This affected my left lower back. I was referred to Ryon Acu Clinic by a family member. I began treatment just after Christmas 2024. I can say the treatments I have received have changed my quality of life significantly. I explained my pain, how the injury happened, and what I could and couldn't do. From there a plan was put into place and the results have been great. The facility is inviting, professional and clean. I cannot recommend Dr. Kim and his clinic enough. I am so pleased with my experience. Scheduling is very convenient and Dr. Kim will fit you into the schedule. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would.
We commonly support patients with neck pain, back pain and sciatica, sports injuries, and everyday muscle and joint discomfort. Care is personalized to each patient rather than protocol-based.
No. Our care is supportive and complementary, and is designed to work alongside physical therapy, chiropractic care, or orthopedic treatment — not replace it. For acute traumatic injuries, please seek immediate medical attention.
Yes. We support recovery from common sports injuries and post-activity soreness, focusing on reducing tension patterns and supporting the body's own healing response.
It varies by individual and how long the pain has been present. Some patients notice initial relief within the first few visits, while longer-standing pain typically benefits from a consistent course of care over several weeks.
Depending on the individual, care may combine acupuncture with tailor-made herbal medicine to support circulation, reduce inflammation-related discomfort, and address underlying tension patterns — not just the site of pain.
The initial visit is $80, which includes a brief consultation and your first acupuncture treatment. This is applied toward your treatment plan if you continue care.
