In short: Ryon Acu Clinic offers supportive, complementary care — acupuncture and personalized herbal support — for people preparing for another IVF cycle, especially after repeated attempts or miscarriage. This care does not replace a fertility specialist or guarantee pregnancy; it works alongside your existing medical treatment to help your body feel more prepared, balanced, and supported.
Many patients come to us feeling that:
We discuss your IVF history, current situation, and health patterns.
→A tailored combination of acupuncture and herbal support, built around you.
→Consistent sessions over a time-limited preparation period.
→Coordinated with — never in place of — your fertility specialist.
This review is a long time coming, but I'm glad to finally get around to posting it.
After having undergone three failed IVF rounds, I searched for an acupuncturist a few months before my fourth round. That's how we came to find Dr. Kim. Meeting him has been LIFE-ALTERINGLY positive. Dr. Kim is so knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, & professional. He was deeply invested in helping us to improve our health & fertility. We're older parents. I'm in my late 40's & my husband is in his late 50's. Dr. Kim treated both of us for months & in the end, the treatment was successful. The combination of acupuncture & Chinese herbs proved to be a game-changer. We were able to freeze three, genetically-tested euploid Blastocysts. We were also able to successfully implant one of those Blastocysts. It was the first time I had ever been pregnant. Dr. Kim was with me the whole way. I continued with treatments through my pregnancy.
Due to my age & also due to getting pregnant through IVF, I had a very complicated pregnancy. I greatly appreciate Dr. Kim's whole-body approach to healing. Of course, he focused on the areas that specifically affected fertility (because that's why I was there), but he also treated parts that affected my overall well-being. As a result, my insomnia was gone, my anxiety was relieved, my digestion was better, & I felt better than I'd felt in a very long time. I felt really strong. And as it would happen, I had to draw on every bit of that strength, especially during my pregnancy, so I'm so grateful for Dr. Kim's forethought & thoroughness. When I had a subchorionic hematoma (which is common in IVF pregnancies), the baby remained unscathed. My very healthy uterus clung tightly to my baby. When I was diagnosed with Placenta Previa at Week 19, the doctors were preparing me for pre-term delivery. Instead of delivering early, I was able to carry my baby full-term & I delivered a healthy baby. In other words, we beat the odds. I strongly believe that the reason why I (& the baby) became some kind of medical miracle was because my body had been fortified in innumerable ways, thanks to Dr. Kim. The entire time, I experienced the best case scenario of outcomes. I truly thank God for that & I also have Dr. Kim to thank for that. Our baby boy turns 9 months old in a week. We couldn't be happier. It's a dream come true.
For anyone thinking about doing IVF or any other fertility treatments, I emphatically recommend that you include Dr. Kim as a pivotal & essential part of your journey. I wish I had met him sooner. I wish I had met him before my first round of IVF, rather than before my fourth round. So perhaps, someone reading this will benefit from that hindsight.
Thank you, Dr. Kim, for helping us, healing us, praying for us, & praying with us. With all our hearts, we thank you.
I initially reached out to Ryon due to my struggles with infertility, having tried various medical interventions without success. Despite my skepticism about acupuncture, I decided to give it a chance. Ryon's attentive listening and thorough questioning helped him devise a tailored treatment plan. His unwavering belief in the effectiveness of his sessions and my potential success was truly touching.
Over the course of about 2 months, with 2-3 sessions per week and herbal supplements, my irregular periods (a result of PCOS) became regular — an unexpected transformation. Continuing these sessions for another month and a half, I underwent an IVF embryo transfer. Despite low odds, I conceived and eventually gave birth to healthy twin girls in May 2022.
Furthermore, my persistent lower back sciatica found relief through Ryon's acupuncture and herbal treatments. Moments of excruciating pain were replaced with mobility and comfort, thanks to consistent sessions.
Even my husband, a skeptic who had tried numerous chiropractors for his back issues, experienced considerable relief after a month of sessions and herbal remedies with Ryon.
I wholeheartedly endorse Ryon's acupuncture services for those seeking a holistic wellness approach. His expertise, compassion, and belief in his clients' potential have genuinely transformed my life. I'm forever grateful to Ryon, and I'm open to sharing more about my experience or answering inquiries from anyone interested.
Acupuncture cannot treat infertility or guarantee IVF success. As supportive, complementary care, it may help the body feel more balanced, regulated, and prepared going into another cycle — working alongside, never in place of, your fertility specialist's medical treatment.
It depends on the individual. Some patients only have room for a short preparation window; others take a longer, more gradual approach. This is discussed and personalized during your consultation.
Yes. Our care is designed to work alongside your existing fertility treatment and medical team, not replace it. Many patients continue supportive care before, during, and after a cycle.
No. We do not guarantee pregnancy or IVF success, and we are not a replacement for a fertility doctor or medical IVF treatment. Our role is supportive — helping the body feel more prepared and balanced alongside your medical care.
Care is personalized to each patient, but commonly includes acupuncture as complementary care, herbal support for overall wellness, and attention to stress, sleep, energy, and cycle-related balance — all coordinated around your existing fertility treatment timeline.
No. The initial consultation discusses your history, current situation, and whether this supportive approach may be a good fit — there is no obligation to proceed afterward.
